1D ICT - Pixie
The children have been busy spending time in thier class with thier peers in order to become secure in their environment. We made Golden Rules for our class that we are following in order to have a happy and safe classroom for everyone. In ICT, we have been working on the computer to improve mouse skills and have been focusing on addition and subtraction games. We have also learned how to use a Pixie. This is a little robot that you can program to move in different directions in order to end at a specific location. The children really liked this activity.Welcome Back to School!
Parents and children,
I Just wanted to take the oppertunity to welcome everyone back to Fairlop School. I am very excited to teach such a wonderful group of children. We have been enjoying our first few weeks back and the children are settling in to the new year one routine. We have started a review of topics covered in reception. In maths, we have been adding and subtracting objects. We have also been creating patterns with beads, shapes and rings. In literacy, we are assessing the high frequency reception words in order get a starting point for further learning. In Science, we are learning about ourselves and the children have drawn fantastic chalk drawings. I hope to show the parents at our class assembly. (Thursday October 9th)
Just a reminder if you would like to come in and discuss your child's day and progress please contact the office and book a time after school. I am here every day!
